I Live In Truth
2025 | 25cm x 17cm | Pen & Ink on Archival Paper

This virtue honors the soul’s journey to live in alignment with its divine purpose. Rooted in African ancestral wisdom, this virtue speaks to the importance of seeking what is true, not through external validation, but through deep spiritual knowing. Our ancestors used sacred technologies like the Opon Ifá divination board to tap into the collective field of consciousness and receive guidance from the unseen. Truth, in this sense, is a lived alignment with one’s higher self and sacred destiny.
When we abandon this alignment, we become disconnected from our inner compass. We may conform to false identities, feel lost, or experience inner conflict and confusion. Living outside of our truth can lead to spiritual fatigue, suppressed potential, and a life shaped by fear, rather than soul-guided intention.
The artwork centers on the Opon Ifá, symbolizing the ancestral quest for insight. At its center is an eye and key, representing divine vision and the unlocking of higher understanding. This visual reminds us that truth is not imposed, but revealed, and to live in truth is to walk in clarity, guided by wisdom beyond the veil.
