I Hold Purity In High Esteem

Purity is the state of being untouched; unpolluted by the world’s distortions, uncorrupted by power, pain, or pride. It is the frequency of innocence, truth, and original essence. To hold purity in high esteem is to honor that which has not been diluted or broken by the chaos of life. It is to remember what we were before we were taught fear, shame, or hate.
This virtue calls us to reconnect with the child within, the one who still believes in love, who speaks without guile, who sees the world through eyes unclouded by bitterness. It also calls us to protect and revere the children around us, not simply as extensions of ourselves, but as divine messengers, fresh from the ancestral realm, still carrying the memory of spiritual truth and original harmony. In revering their purity, we are reminded to cleanse our own hearts and return to the truth of who we once were, and still are beneath the noise.
When we fail to uphold this virtue, the consequences ripple through generations. The rising tide of child abuse, trafficking, and unresolved childhood trauma reveals how far we have strayed from protecting what is most sacred. When innocence is exploited instead of protected, cycles of violence continue. When our inner child is silenced instead of nurtured, we lose the pathway back to emotional healing and spiritual clarity.
The imagery is an innocent child cradled with care, their face serene, underneath the protection of the Akan ‘Adwera’ symbol, marking them as sacred, clean, and divinely protected.
